The Pagosa Springs Medical Center pursued a project to add-on a primary care building and a new main entrance. The proposed improvements consisted of 22,000 square feet with 30 new exam rooms, additional parking and site wide pedestrian accessibility.

DES was selected to join the design-build team for the project. We provided the civil site plan design for improvements. A retention-detention system was sized for improvements to the site along. We designed drainage features, light base foundations, added parking, accessible routes from in the form of sidewalks and a roadside trail.

During construction the DES surveying team provided construction layout. DES worked with the general contractor GE Johnson for placement of the new parking areas, curb and gutter, sidewalk, trail and detention-retention system.
