The Town to Lakes Trail system crosses the San Juan River in downtown Pagosa Springs with a series of three pedestrian bridges. Since its original placement in 1995 the Hot Springs pedestrian bridge was in a condition of needing replacement.

DES assisted the Town of Pagosa Springs with procurement process of the new pedestrian bridge. Surveying services included site mapping of the existing bridge abutments and anchor bolts where this information was provided to the pedestrian bridge manufacturer for fabrication of the new pedestrian bridge. DES prepared design plans, technical specifications, and construction services.
